Welcome to the Bands of Lakewood Ranch!

If you plan to join the Marching Mustangs for the Fall 2024 season, you've come to the right place. Our registration form is totally new this year - but should make bookkeeping and tracking significantly more streamlined! Please reach out to the Lakewood Ranch Band Boosters (LRBBA) president or treasurer with any questions on the form or policies (president@lakewoodranchbands.org and/or treasurer@lakewoodranchbands.org).


Registration Instructions

  • Please be aware that each family must choose the Volunteer Fee item below ($150).
  • Percussion must choose the Stick & Mallet Fee Option for $40.
  • Guard must choose the Make Up Option $20.
  • Please select either Women's or Men's Shoes and choose a size. This is a $0 option as it's included in the fair share.
  • Please use Notes field to input T-Shirt size if size you need is not in drop down.


Payment Options (For $1225 Fair Share):

  • Pay in full
  • Payment Plan (Pay $175 deposit today, then 6 monthly auto-payments of $175);
  • Pay Later - Please check with Shelley at treasurer@lakewoodranchbands.org before selecting this option.


Volunteer Requirements

The volunteer fee is $150 assessment per family. Any family that provides a minimum 25 hours of volunteer service can request a refund of the volunteer assessment. The volunteer hours must be documented in the BoosterHub system and confirmed by the volunteer coordinator.

The rebate for completing the volunteer service hours must be requested by March 1, 2025. If a family does not complete at least 25 hours of service or chooses not to request the rebate, the rebate amount will be deemed donated and added to the LRBBA scholarship reserves for the benefit of band members in need of financial assistance. 


Sibling Registrations

For Sibling registrations, there's no need to choose the volunteer fee to complete their registration. Additionally, please choose the Sibling Credit option below.


Media Release

During the year, we take photographs of band activities involving students to share. By which, some photographs may capture your child's participation, directly or indirectly.

These photos may be published through our website, social media pages, news bulletins, and ads.

With your registration, you agree to give your consent in allowing us to publish photos which may involve your child to the said platforms. If you do not consent, please contact Dr. Wilkerson (director@lakewoodranchbands.org) so arrangements can be made.

Fundraising Credits

From time to time, in limited circumstances with respect to product sales and service activities only, the booster club may provide “credit” towards certain club activities to individuals who voluntarily participate in these fundraising activities. To comply with IRS regulations for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations, the following rules have been adopted to govern these fundraising activities.

By signing this fundraising policy, you grant permission for your child to voluntarily participate in the booster club’s fundraising activities and acknowledge your understanding of the rules and policies relating to these activities.

I acknowledge that I have read and understand the following rules relating to these fundraising activities:


   1. All funds of the organization must be controlled by, and used to further the organization’s tax-exempt public purpose. The organization, and not the individual, must control and decide how all funds raised are used.

   2. At no time may any individual “withdraw” funds from an “individual account” or personally direct how funds are used by the organization.

   3. Parents may not “earmark” contributions to the organization for the benefit of their child or any other named individual.

   4. Parents may request funds be transferred for use by a sibling.

   5. These rules may be supplemented and/or modified by new or additional rules at any time to comply with IRS requirements and the best interests of the organization. I have read, understand and will follow these fundraising rules.


Commitment to Pay

As the parent or legal guardian and on behalf of the student listed on the registration form, you agree that the information provided is accurate. You commit to and shall be responsible for paying the fees as scheduled above. You understand that you are responsible for fees relating to and including returned checks, insufficient funds, additional approved activities and any other related fee(s). All disputes shall be addressed to the Lakewood Ranch Band Booster Association Board and you understand that their decision shall be final.

Any unpaid fees will be turned in to the school for collection on April 1, 2025. Non-payment will result in the student being unable to audition for the following year and attend the 2025 band banquet.


Your registration implies that you have read and understand the rules and policies described in the Marching Band Information Packet and Policies & Procedures and that you agree to the terms and conditions, including the refund policy.


If paying later is selected and LRBBA is aware, Please have checks payable to LRBBA.

They can be dropped off in the band room or mailed to PO Box 110354 Lakewood Ranch FL 34211.


There are mandatory school forms required. Those forms will be emailed after your submission. 


Voluntary Termination Refund Policy

$175 non-refundable deposit

Before July 15, 2024, additional amount withheld from refund $75. 

Before August 31, 2024, additional amount withheld from refund $350.

Beyond August 31, 2024, all payments are nonrefundable. 


The above dates and amounts are subject to change in unique circumstances as determined by the Band Director and LRBBA.


Scholarship Request

Please fill out the Scholarship Request Form to start the process to request financial assistance from LRBBA for the Fall 2024 Marching Band season.


Access to Information

In addition to the Director of Bands, Dr. John Wilkerson, certain board members have access to personal (address, phone numbers, email) and financial information related to your student's account in order to conduct official LRBBA business. This includes the LRBBA President (Lisa Cunningham), LRBBA Treasurer (Jim Sofos (thru 5/31/24), then Shelley Rutkauski). 


Signed Copy

A hard copy of the terms listed here will be provided for signature upon registration. Signed copies must be returned to the Director of Bands, Dr. Wilkerson by July 22, 2024.

The $150 Volunteer Fee is required to be paid at time of registration. This can be refunded upon request after 25 volunteer hours have been recorded by parents/guardians/family members of the band member. These hours must be completed by 2/28/2025. Refunds are not automatic. Left over funds from Unrequested refunds are used for scholarship opportunities for those who request and are approved by the director and board to receive support.
